happenings in the area — please check and update before each season with the Merlimont / Le Touquet tourist

☀️ In summer
- Night markets: summer evening markets with local artisans and producers, common across the coastal resorts.
- 14 July fireworks: displayed on several beaches along the coast, including Le Touquet and Berck-sur-Mer.
- Sea festivals: entertainment, boat blessings and fish markets in nearby ports.
- Sand yachting competitions: regularly held on Stella Plage's beach and at Berck-sur-Mer, a historic hub for this sport.
🍂 In spring & autumn
- Enduro du Touquet: famous motorbike and quad race on Le Touquet's beach, usually in February (check dates each year).
- Flea markets & garage sales: common on weekends in the surrounding villages.
- Kite festivals: gatherings on local beaches, as the region is well known for winds suited to this sport.
🎄 In winter
- Christmas markets: in Le Touquet, Montreuil-sur-Mer and nearby towns.
- Seafront illuminations in the neighbouring resorts.
